We are an Ebenezer managed cooperative.  Ebenezer has built a reputation for quality, caring and innovative housing solutions for Minnesota seniors for 100 years (1917-2017) and are facilities that seniors love to call home.

Governance is by a board of directors elected from our membership.

The directors are also governed by the policies, rules and fees that they set!

Let's meet the members of the board and learn of their credentials:

Sue Jackson - President

Sue is a former high school English teacher and a semi-retired professor of education for Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the American Contract Bridge League.

She and her husband Stephen have lived at Applewood Pointe of Roseville since the building opened.

 

Lary Haupt - Vice President

After service in the United States Air Force, Lary spent 34 years in management at Lockheed Martin.

Prior to living at Applewood Pointe, Lary served on the Board of a Townhouse Association for eight years.

Lary also serves the Applewood Community on various other committees and is the "goto" guy when the office is closed.

 

Paul Ista - Treasurer

Paul retired as a corporate Purchasing Manager with over 30 year of combined service at The Valspar Corporation and 3M Company.

Before moving to Applewood, he served over 20 years on the Board of Directors and Treasurer at a condominium association.

Paul has served 3 ½ years as Chair of the Building & Grounds Committee here at Applewood.

 

Mary Nelson - Secretary

Mary was an Administrative Assistant for 30+ years. She is the ideal secretary and great asset on the Board of Directors.

She served on the board from 2009-2016 and also serves on the Finance Committee, Building and Grounds Committee and Social Committee.

Mary has lived at Applewood for 10 years.

 

 

 

Don Goedken - Director

Don graduated from what is now Mitchell Hamline School of Law and had a 36 year career as attorney with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation. 

He has served for 3 years on the Finance Committee, and was appointed to fill the remaining portion of a vacated Board position in November, 2017.

Don and his wife Jane have lived at Applewood Pointe since 2014 and enjoy living here and assisting with the evening security checks.
